Victoria Park housing sell off

Passing through Victoria Park earlier I read some fliers stuck to the fence which brought my attention to this…

Tenants living in affordable housing in east London have held a demonstration against plans to sell off their homes.

Residents on an estate in Victoria Park in Hackney, owned by Crown Estate, want the agency to halt plans to put the freehold to four sites up for sale.

They fear rents could go up and key workers be forced out if the Crown Estate homes in Victoria Park, Regent’s Park, Millbank and Lee Green are sold.
